Hellobike, known for its shared bicycles in China, has officially entered the autonomous driving sector. It partnered with Ant Group and Contemporary Amperex Technology Co Ltd (CATL) to form a joint venture focused on Level 4 autonomous driving. The new Shanghai-based company launched with an initial investment of over 3 billion yuan ($418 million). Its goal is to develop and commercialize self-driving vehicles that can operate without human intervention in most scenarios.
