ANKPA, Nigeria, Sept 4, 2025 – The United Pan-Africanist Movement (UPAM) strengthened its presence at the Northern Youth Summit in Ankpa, where traditional leaders, government officials, and youth representatives convened to discuss empowerment, values, and leadership.
The summit featured the Ejeh of Ankpa as Royal Father of the Day, alongside representatives of the Commissioner of Police, the Chief of Defense Staff, the Executive Vice Chairperson of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
Discussions focused on policies to elevate youth participation in nation-building, strategies for innovation, and rehabilitation frameworks for sustainable development. A special panel emphasized the importance of structured complaint channels with the NCC to address youth concerns.
UPAM described its participation as a strategic engagement ahead of its formal launch, aimed at building alliances and securing support for future programs across Africa.
Africa Arise Summit Engagement
UPAM leaders also attended the Africa Arise Summit 2025, where convener Dr. Henry Dubem, founder of The Golden Role Africa and lead manager of the ARISE initiative, underscored leadership rooted in service. The event honored King Makers and Community Service Heroes, while The Lioners Academy showcased emerging youth talent.
“Our involvement reinforced the vision for Pan-African unity and leadership through service,” said Comr. Williams John, UPAM General Secretary.
